Bilingual Custodian 1st Shift

The Custodian is responsible for the general cleaning of the company facility and will ensure that all areas of the facility and all department, including offices are kept cleaned in compliance with Good Manufacturing Practice standards.   

Essential Job Duties

·         General tasks include cleaning bathrooms, floors, windows, walls, vacuuming carpets; taking out trash, and maintaining all entrances and common areas.

·         Keep walk way areas clean and clear of debris in warehouse and production areas of Prep, Rolling and Packing, breakroom and offices.

·         Throw out all garbage and replace bags.

·         Pick up litter in the parking lots in the front and back of the building.

·         Empty and clean waste receptacles in production and office restrooms. In addition to cleaning restrooms, custodians must ensure that paper towels, soap, toilet paper and other sanitary items are available.

·         Other duties as assigned.

Competencies & Skill Requirements

·         Effective verbal and written communication skills

·         Speak and read the English language

·         Work in a team environment.

·         Initiative and ability to work with minimal direction; sound judgment and decision-making capabilities are essential.

Qualifications & Experience

·         High School Diploma or GED preferred; one to two years’ experience

Sanitation

·         Squeegee the water off the floor, sanitizes restrooms and lunchroom

Work Environment & Physical Requirements

·         Must be able to stand, walk, kneel for 8 hours a day

·         Frequently lift and/or move up to 40 pounds
