Quality assurance technicians ensure that goods meet manufacturing standards and are free of defects. Quality technicians are responsible for conducting testing procedures during the manufacturing processes to ensure that products comply with quality standards.Essential Job DutiesPrepare and Set-up QA equipment and utensils pre-productionVerify fryers and freezer settings according to production schedulePerform daily equipment calibrationPerform hourly quality check points to ensure consistent quality in productSSOP check dailyEnsure all records are completed timelyPre and Post-Op sanitation of Packing area, including ATP testReport any food safety and/or quality issues to Production Manager immediately.Assist in maintaining (USDA/FDA) regulatory compliance.Maintain schedule of testing and validation activities following SQF standards and guidelines.Perform other duties as requiredIn the absence of Quality Technician, Quality Supervisor will cover his/her Food Safety and Quality responsibilities.Competencies & Skill RequirementsEffective verbal and written communication skillsWork in a team environmentBasic Math skillsRead, write and speak EnglishExperience with Quality Control preferredQualifications & ExperienceHigh School Diploma or GED preferred; one to two years’ experienceExperience with Food and Beverage industry preferredSanitationSweep floor, wash the trays, tables, wash carts, short simple conveyor, squeegee the water off the floor, throw out garbage.Work Environment & Physical RequirementsMust be able to stand, walk, kneel and bend for virtually entire shift.Occasionally required to balance or climb.Frequently lift and/or move up to 30 poundsThis job description is not designed to cover or contain a comprehensive listing of activities, duties or responsibilities that are required of the employee.
