As a Warehouse, Freezer, and Dock Sanitation Roll Model at Van’s Kitchen, you will play a critical role in ensuring the cleanliness, and organization of our warehouse, freezer, and dock areas. You will be responsible for maintaining high standards of sanitation to ensure food safety and regulatory compliance.  ResponsibilitiesRun pallets from packaging area to freezer.When pallets are not available or ready, run trash buildup from Packing to dumpsters.Join Prep area once heavy sanitation starts to help with clean up.Check freezer temperature and report any unusual signs.Walk around the freezer and cooler to make sure temperatures and equipment are working normally.Organize and maintain FIFO methods for raw & packaging materials.Help packing stack product on pallets, wrap pallets and move finished good pallets to freezer.Execute sanitation procedures for the warehouse, freezer, and dock areas according to company standards and regulatory requirements.Clean and disinfect floors, walls, equipment, and other surfaces to prevent contamination and ensure a hygienic environment.Manage waste disposal in compliance with company policies and environmental regulations.Adhere to safety protocols and guidelines while performing sanitation duties to prevent accidents and injuries.Close up the dock including locking all dumpster areas, gates and alarm locks.Cross train in other areas of the company to fill in or other assignments when needed.Report immediately any problem or concern with food safety and quality to supervisors.Always keep the Dock area clean of debris.Keep the Storage Freezer clean and always organized.Follow chemical usage as instructed for cleaning and sanitation.Dumpster areas need to be always clear of debris. Competencies & Skill RequirementsEffective written and oral communication skillsExercise diplomacy, tact and judgment in matters related to the exchange of shipping/ receiving.Proven ability to set priorities, to pay attention to detail, and to manage multiple tasks.Qualifications & ExperiencePrevious experience in the food production industry is a plus.Experience working in Receiving/Shipping or Sanitation.Understanding of food safety regulations (e.g., FDA, USDA) and Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP).Work EnvironmentDock/ warehouse environmentMust be able to stand, walk, kneel, and bend for virtually entire shift.Occasionally required to balance or climb.Frequently lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.Must be willing to work in cold, wet, hot, and humid environments.
